APIC won the ‘Award for Design and Technological Innovation’ at Madrid Fusion

February, 2nd, 2015 — Today, the Belgian Food Startup APIC (www.apicbase.com) has been rewarded the prestigious ‘AWARD FOR DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION’ at Madrid Fusion, which is the yearly international summit of gastronomy, held this year from 2-4 February. The award, sponsored by IFEMA, recognises the most innovative creations in the area of gastronomy.

APIC is a revolutionary ecosystem for chefs and restaurants to photograph, document and share their most valuable creations. APIC consists out of the APIC Studio hardware, a cloud connected photo studio that takes high quality, perfectly lit photos and the APIC Manager software, a web service where the photos are instantly made available to the chefs.

In the APIC manager chefs can build and maintain their legacy, immortalising their volatile creations and they can document and communicate about their dishes in a more streamlined way by tagging ingredients directly on the image and by adding detailed recipes for every dish. Because of its standardization and centralization APIC even solves the traceability challenges many restaurants are facing.

Finally the APIC Manager features very easy sharing options for creating professional social media content and a stunning visual portfolio on apicbase.com.

APIC recently also launched APHAS (www.aphas.eu), its enterprise version of the software. APHAS offers the APIC studio’s automated, standardised and centralised food photography features together with recipe distribution, image and content traceability and professional internal and external communication tools for larger enterprises. It offers custom hardware, on premise or cloud storage, advanced user management, custom software integrations and more.

The APIC team would like to thank the jury for its great support and recognition and all the chefs using our products on a daily base.
