Apicbase nominated for 2018 Rising Star award by Deloitte Belgium!

Antwerp, 25th October 2018 — APICBASE.COM is nominated as one of the ten finalists of the prestigious 2018 Deloitte Rising Star award. The Rising Star selection is part of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 competition and is designed for promising companies that have been active in the technology sector for less than four years. Started with a simple idea of photographing every dish created by high-end restaurants, APICBASE has since grown into a complete food management ERP platform for the foodservice, helping over 250 customers in more than 15 countries.

APICBASE develops a cloud based software solution where culinary professionals can digitise their processes and optimize the back of house. APICBASE supports food businesses in four different ways: we give insights in their food cost and improve their margins by providing in-depth Business Intelligence. We help them minimize risk and comply with local laws such as allergen declaration, nutrition facts and food labelling, we help them reduce staff turnover and spend by allowing culinary professionals to be more in the kitchen and less behind the desk and finally our software helps food businesses to scale consistently by safeguarding their IP centrally, providing training tools and by offering a software that is built to scale.

“We are very excited to be nominated for the 2018 Rising Star Award.”, says Carl Jacobs, CEO and co-founder of APICBASE.  “It is a great honour and I see this nomination as an appreciation for what we have been doing to innovate the foodservice industry”.

Today, we’re helping over 250 businesses in more than 15 countries, from small restaurants, to chains and multi-billion-dollar food service companies. APICBASE helps them in different ways to save both time and money.

APICBASE will be present during a final pitch event in front of an independent jury in Brussels on 15 November 2018.

About the Rising Star Award

The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 competition is an annual selection of the 50 fastest growing and innovative technology companies headquartered in Belgium. Public or private companies who develop a technology-related product or service and who have experienced substantial revenue growth over the last four years can enter the competition for their chance to be nominated as one of the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in Belgium.

Companies that have been active in the technology sector for less than four years can participate in the special Rising Star category of the competition. These companies are judged by an independent jury on their turnover potential and scalability.

Participating in the Rising Star competition can help companies to develop their business by increasing their visibility and giving them access to the Fast 50’s unique network of highly successful executives.
